What is Der erste Funke?
Der erste Funke — German for “the first spark” — is the launch event of TrustLoop, the free member portal for laser welding professionals and laser welding machine owners run by Sigma Laser GmbH. On 19–20 September 2026 the portal opens to the public and its first prize campaign, also called Der erste Funke, begins: every verified member gets a spin on the wheel, with real prizes rather than points.
Registration is open now and closes on 18 September 2026, 24 hours before the start. Every account is checked by a person before it is activated, which usually takes one business day — so the way to be part of the first spin is to be verified before the date, not on it.

The form asks for your name, your company and a working email address, and nothing else: no card, no subscription, no software to install. You confirm the email with a six-digit code and your account exists. From this moment your place in Der erste Funke is reserved, even while the review is still pending.

Upload your proof
The proof is one file, and it depends on the path you chose. Laser welding professionals send an industry document — a welding certificate, trade licence, company ID or business registration — or a phone photo of themselves standing beside any laser welding machine. Sigma Laser owners send one photo of the machine they run; the nameplate helps but is not required. Buyers who are not welders send the purchase invoice for their laser welding machine, or a photo beside it. Taken on the shop floor is exactly right; nothing needs to be scanned or notarised.

Get verified
A person, not a script, looks at every upload. That is why the answer is usually within one business day rather than instant, and it is the reason registration closes 24 hours before the event: it gives the reviewer time to reach everyone who registered. If the file is unclear you are told what was missing and can upload another; nothing is lost and your account stays open. The moment your account is activated you receive an email, and you can sign in at any time to check where you stand.

Launch day: your first spark
On 19 September 2026 the Der erste Funke wheel goes live and stays live until the end of 20 September 2026. Sign in at any hour within those two days, open the wheel, and take your spin. The wheel shows every prize on it before you play, the odds are printed on each slice, and a prize that has run out is taken off rather than left there to tease you. Whatever you land on is yours; physical prizes are shipped to the address on your account once the claim is approved.

Is it free?
Yes. Registration, membership and the spin are free. There is no subscription, no payment details at signup and no paid tier. The prizes are shipped at no cost to you.
Do I have to be online at a set time?
Yes — Der erste Funke takes place on 19–20 September 2026 and the wheel is live only on those two days, so you need to sign in within that window. Inside it, any hour suits you: there is no fixed session to attend, and your spin is waiting whenever you log in.
What if I am not verified by launch day?
Register before the deadline (18 September 2026) and a reviewer will get to your account before or during the event — verification usually takes one business day. As soon as it is active you can sign in and spin, provided the event window (19–20 September 2026) is still open. The earlier you register, the less of that window you spend waiting.
Who can join?
Three groups: anyone who works in laser welding, on any brand of machine, anywhere in the world; anyone who runs a Sigma laser welding machine, whether bought new, secondhand or through a distributor; and anyone who has bought a laser welding machine from another manufacturer without being a welder themselves. Every account is verified by a person before it is activated.
What can I win?
The prizes on the wheel are shown on this page as soon as the campaign wheel is configured, and again on the wheel itself before you spin. They are typically laser welding consumables, protective equipment and accessories, with larger prizes appearing in some campaigns. A prize that has run out is removed from the wheel rather than left on it.
How are prizes delivered?
Physical prizes are shipped to the address on your account after your claim is approved. Some prizes may be limited by what can be shipped to your country; the wheel only shows prizes that can still be won.
Can I still join after the launch?
No. By the event's rules, registration for Der erste Funke closes 24 hours before it starts — on 18 September 2026. That is what lets a reviewer verify every account before the wheel goes live. TrustLoop itself stays open after the event and new campaigns follow, so if you miss the deadline you can still become a member for the next one.
What do you do with the photo or documents I upload?
They are used to verify your account and nothing else. They are never published, never shown to other members and never used for commercial purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and its documents at any time.
